MD5 is accelerating the dissemination of innovation knowledge and methods throughout the DoD workforce. They are in the process of building new communities of innovators to create a novel capacity for national security problem solving. 

NSTXL – Technology at the Speed of Mission

The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) prospects and develops innovative technology from the across the broad commercial and non-traditional defense marketplace, ensuring the development of better, cheaper, and faster defense capabilities that enhance mission and support the Warfighter.

Technology Accelerator – AFWERX

The Air Force launched a startup technology accelerator through its AFwerX community of innovators.
The technology accelerator focuses on developing better relationships with commercially viable startup companies with dual-purpose technologies - technologies that have a private sector application as well as government application. 

IMPAX

As a Partnership Intermediary Agreement between the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), IMPAX has the ability to communicate directly with government agencies, industry, academia, and the public to assist with completing complex technological projects at a faster rate, with higher returns.

Cyclotron Road

A fellowship program that supports leading technology innovators as they advance a project with the potential for global impact. Since 2015, we have awarded more than $10 million to 28 innovators who have gone on to generate more than $48 million in early stage funding to support their projects.

The Incubatenergy Network

Accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy through national coordination of incubator resources supporting entrepreneurs focused on clean energy innovation and deployment. The network has supported more than 500 companies to date and has a significant pipeline.

Fed Tech 

Pairs entrepreneurs with inventions from over 17 federal labs to commercialize federally funded research and development projects. The Fed Tech program helps teams validate demands for the technology and build a basic business model within two months.

Innovations is an inclusive term used by HfL to convey all of the following: technologies, materials, tools, equipment, procedures, specifications, methodologies, processes or practices used in the financing, design or construction of highways.
